Amakhosi have finally unveiled fan favourite Gavin Hunt, as the new head coach of the club, following the termination of Ernst Middendorp's contract with Amakhosi.
The former Hellenic, Black Leopards, SuperSport United and Bidvest Wits mentor reportedly agreed to a three year deal last week, and has reportedly spent the time leading announcement sorting out his technical team and transfer targets.
Prior to his official appointment, there had been links to Soweto Giants rivals Orlando Pirates, who had not previously indicated a search for a new head coach since the Buccaneers had a resurgent season under German Josef Zinnbauer.
“We looked at our situation and our needs before deciding on Gavin,” confirms Chairman Kaizer Motaung. “He brings with him an abundance of experience, having coached about fives teams in the Premiership. There is success wherever he has coached".
