D-DAY FOR PSL TITLE!

The Absa Premiership title winner will be decided this afternoon in a two-horse race between Kaizer Chiefs and defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns, who both turned 50 years old this year.

Kaizer Chiefs legend Siphiwe Tshabalala has told the club website "It’s all about those 90 minutes. Of course, the coach will do the line-up and discuss the tactics with the team, but thereafter it’s up to the players to do the job. Everyone has a role to play, including the guys who won’t start. My advice to the players: "Go out and enjoy," ahead of their all important decider against relegation threatened Baroka this Saturday.

The Amakhosi legend makes it clear that he will be at home, sitting in front of the television come kick-off time on Saturday.

"I am actually more nervous watching a game, than when I was playing," he confesses. "I sometimes want to use the remote to control certain things in the match, although it doesn’t really help".

Pitso Mosimane and Ernst Middendorp have no suspension worries ahead of Saturday but will be monitoring players who picked up little injuries during the midweek games.

Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane has commended his team saying "I give my boys credit for closing the 13-point gap, we have done our best, if we win the league, we win it, if we don't, we don't, God will tell us," ahead of their decisive clash against Black Leopards, who are one of three Limpopo sides that are currently in the relegation zone.

Masandawana are currently three goals behind Amakhosi, and will be looking for a big win on Saturday to avoid relinquishing their Premiership title to Chiefs.

Let's have a look at some interesting stats for the upcoming 15:30 deciders:

Kaizer Chiefs Vs Baroka at Bidvest Stadium

- Amakhosi have played Baroka seven times in the league, with both teams winning two games each and drawing the other three in the Premiership.

- Amakhosi beat Baroka 1-0 in their first round league clash courtesy of a Lebo Manyama 39th minute goal.

Mamelodi Sundowns Vs Black Leopards at Dobsconville Stadium

- Masandawana have played Black Leopards seven times in the league, with Downs winning all seven fixtures Vs the Limpopo side in the Premiership.

- Masandawana beat Leopards 2-1 in their first round fixture courtesy of a Themba Zwane strike and Chris Katjukua own-goal in the first half despite Musonda scoring in the second half for Lidoda Duvha.
