• Cape Town City have confirmed that they have released 29-year-old goalkeeper Sage Stephens at the end of his contract following the recently completed 2019/20 season. He featured 37 times in the Citizens colours, with seven appearances in all competition during the recently completed season.

• The PSL confirmed that the Nedbank Cup Final between Mamelodi Sundowns and Bloemfontein Celtic will be played this Saturday 12 September, 8pm, at Orlando Stadium. The final was posptoned following the later completion of the PSL season.

• Baroka chairman Khurishi Mphahlele revealed that he tried to bring coach Kgoloko Thobejane back to the club but the tactician refused. He was dismissed in 2018 for allegedly drinking on the team bus after a league match, with Oscarine Masuluke (who returned to the club on a three-year-deal) and ex-captain Olaleng Shaku.

• With rumours of Tim Sukazi's TS Galaxy acquiring Highlands Park status gaining momentum, Dan Malesela has emerged as the front-runner for the head coach position with current Highlands Park coach Owen Da Gama having been approached by Tshakhuma Tsha Madzhivhandila. Owen Da Gama is reportedly yet to accept the offer.

• Polokwane City have reportedly parted ways with coach Clinton Larsen following their relegation from the Premiership.Rise and Shine finished the season at the bottom of the standings.They were unable to record a single win following the restart of competitive league action, losing four games and drawing two.
