Bloemfontein Celtic takes on Mamelodi Sundowns in the Nedbank Cup Final this Saturday night at Orlando Stadium, 8pm, in search of their first trophy since the Telkom Knockout truimph in 2012.
Siwelele captain Ndumiso Mabena says "I think it's going to be a big stage for not only me but for us, knowing very well it's the first time playing a final as Bloemfontein Celtic, but we just have to give it our all and do our best at the end of the day".
"We know Sundowns have CAF experience, and their experience and the bunch of good players that they have showed by them managing to win the league at the end of the day," said the skipper.
He also added "there is not much difference between coach John Maduka and former coach Lehlohonolo Seema, they were both coaching in the same team and the only thing that happened is that one of them left and coach Maduka took over, but the team is still the same."
The former Orlando Pirates and Platinum Stars striker who scored nine goals and registered 4 assists during the 2019/20 season says "Credit to the boys for their effort and finishing in the final third of the field, also the covid pandemic gave us a chance to recover and regroup as a team and come back strong".
