• Amazulu  have confirmed on Saturday morning that 64-year-old former Platinum Stars head coach Allan Freese, who helped Highlands Park gain promotion to the Premiership, has joined the Durban club to replace Moeneeb Josephs as assistant coach.

• Zimbabwe first choice 29-year-old goalkeeper George Chigova is set for a return to Matsatsantsa on a three-year-deal after parting ways with relegated club Polokwane City. Chigova penned an farewell letter for Polokwane on social media.

• Kaizer Chiefs and SuperSport United are said to be involved in a race to secure the services of Bidvest Wits midfielder Cole Alexander. Amazulu had also made enquiries about the 31-year-old midfielder who is also linked with a move to Asia.

• The South African Football Players Union is handing out-of-contract players a lifeline as they will be looking to get deals in the new season. SAFPU has come up with a plan to help them to remain fit by setting up a training camp in Tshwane which will include friendly games played with a few PSL and GladAfrica teams.
