Highlands Park co-director Brad Kaftel confirmed on Sunday that current joint PSL top goalscorer for 2019/20 season Peter Shalulile is heading to Mamelodi Sundowns.
The 27-year-old Namibian striker had been touted with a possible move overseas prior to being lured to Chloorkop by the opportunity to play in the CAF Champions League with Masandawana next season.
"I'm very happy that I'm going there you know, to add more value, and to learn. I've always wanted to play at Sundowns, wanted to play CAF in Africa.
"So they gave me the platform to play in Africa and I'm grateful for that. They've been communicating with my manager."
Shalulile managed to bang in 16 goals to end tied top goalscorer with Orlando Pirates and Malawi star Gabadinho Mhango, which caught the eye of Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Pitso Mosimane.
The Mamelodi Sundowns coach had bemoaned the lack of conversion of opportunities from his side since the restart of football and had previously hinted at signing another striker back in April.
"We want to put another striker with Mauricio Affonso to make sure that we have someone in case of injuries," said Mosimane.
