Orlando Pirates thrashed Kaizer Chiefs 3-0 in the 2020 MTN8 semifinal first-leg match at Orlando Stadium on Saturday afternoon. Zakhele Lepasa opened the scoring for Bucs before the half-hour mark when he headed in Terrence Dzvukamanja's cross to give Pirates a 1-0 lead heading into half-time.
The Buccanneers continued to dominate in the second half and doubled their lead via a clever turn and finish from Vincent Pule in the 67th minute. Amakhosi tried to look for an away goal which left them exposed to a counter-attack that was finished off by Thembinkosi Lorch to hand the Mayfair side a 3-0 aggregate lead ahead of the second away leg at FNB Stadium, 8 November.

SuperSport United and Bloemfontein Celtic played to a 1-1 draw in their MTN8 first leg semifinal at Lucas Moripe Stadium on Sunday afternoon. Siwelele started off as the stronger side and were duly rewarded when Ndumiso Mabena burIED a low shot past Ronwen Williams, to put Celtic 1-0 up heading into half time.
Matsatsantsa made Celtic rue their first half chances five minutes into the second stanza, with Ghampani Lungu scoring from close range to equalize. Celtic managed to hang on to a draw despite a late surge from United with Teboho Mokoena's long range strike shaving the upright in the 84th minute. The return leg will be held at Dr Molemela Stadium, 7 November.
