Ghana goalkeeper Richard Ofori has finally joined Orlando Pirates following months of speculation after having been linked with Tshwane giants Mamelodi Sundowns throughout the 2019/20 season.
The 26-year-old Richard Ofori has joined the Buccaneers on a three-year-deal after having spent three season's with Maritzburg United, helping the club win the promotion play-offs in his first season and going on to represent the team of choice 96 times, keeping 33 clean sheets and ensuring the KZN club secures a top eight finish last season.

"It's like a dream come true, every player wants to play for one of the biggest clubs in the world, so I feel happy, I feel good and I feel home" said Ghana international shot-stopper following the completion of the transfer to Mayfair.
Ofori first came to Mzansi to join Cape Town City but failed to agree terms with the Western-Cape outfit, before returning to join Maritzburg United in 2017 says he is very happy to reunite with former Team of choice head coach Fadlu Davids whom he says is "like a father to me, because he brought me here (to Mzansi)".

Ofori will be competing with Wayne Sandilands, 37, and Siyabonga Mpontshane, 34, for a starting birth for the Buccaneers ahead of their first fixture against the re-inforced Amazulu who have roped in former Orlando Pirates Luvuyo Memela, Thembela Sikhakhane and Augustine Mulenga. The DStv Premiership Matchday 1 fixture will kick-off at 20:15 at Jonsson Kings Park this Saturday.
