Former Free State Stars, Kazier Chiefs and Bafana Bafana star midfielder Siphiwe Tshabalala has opened up on his surprise move to Amazulu, almost 17 months since his last match.
Prior to his move to KwaZulu-Natal, Tshabalala held talks with new AmaZulu club chairman Sandile Zungu, who has set a mandate of a top-four finish for the club in the DSTV Premiership ahead of the new 2020/21 campaign.
"I had a meeting with him and he told me his vision, which is why I came here, and I hope with this new chapter I can bring a difference both on and off the field," Tshabalala said.

The 36-year-old last played a competitive match in May 2019 for BB Erzurumspor in a Turkish Super Lig encounter and he is now in line to make his PSL comeback in the colours of AmaZulu for their first clash of the DStv Premiership against Orlando Pirates.
"Obviously, we play against Pirates, then three days later there’s another game, so it’s going to be a tough season," he added.

"I think the guys are up for it and that’s how we strive as players. It’s a challenge to join a team that has been struggling for seven years fighting relegation. It’s a challenge, and I’m up for it. I want to do my best and help the team and I’m looking forward to it" concluded Shabba.
Usuthu will take on Orlando Pirates at Jonsson King's Park Stadium on Saturday, kick-off is at 20:15.
