Maritzburg United 1
(T.Kutumela 35)
The Gavin Hunt led Kaizer Chiefs managed a comeback 2-1 victory over Maritzburg United in their MTN 8 Quarter Final clash on Sunday afternoon. A dominant Team Of Choice took the lead in the 35th minute through Bafana Bafana international Thabiso Kutumela, however, the side from KZN failed to extend their lead heading into the break. Chiefs made two subs at half time which seemed to help them find their footing in the game. Amakhosi were duly rewarded for their perseverance when defender Yagan Sasman found the equalizer in the 73rd minute. Sasman was back to haunt Eric Tinkler's side two minutes later, from yet another corner kick which the 23-year-old headed in. The Glamour Boys hung onto their lead and will face Soweto rivals Orlando Pirates in the MTN 8 Semi-Finals.

Mamelodi Sundowns continued their poor form in the MTN 8 after losing 1-0 to Bloemfontein Celtic in their quarter final on Sunday. Sundowns dominated the game from the start, but found Celtic goalkeeper Jackson Mabokgwane in top form as he kept out Ricardo Nascimento and Gaston Sirino. Masandawana debutant Peter Shalulile also had a goal disallowed for a marginal off-side. The second half was similar to the first with Downs skipper Hlompo Kekana rattling the crossbar before Vusi Lestoalo latched onto a cross to put Siwelele into the MTN 8 Semi-Finals. Celtic were drawn to face defending MTN 8 champions SuperSport United in the Semi-Finals.
