Baroka have appointed Matsemela Thoka as head coach after parting ways with Dylan Kerr, who becomes the first coaching casualty of the DStv Premiership.
The Malta-born coach who had managed to steer Bakgakga out of the relegation zone and potential relegation play-offs, had already been suspended by the club prior to the current season.
This followed comments made at the end of the 2019/20 season, where Kerr said that "some people are not allowing him to do his job at the club".

However, the Limpopo outfit has made a good start to the current season under the guidance of now newly appointed coach Matsemela Thoka, winning two matches and drawing one so far in the DStv Premiership without Kerr.
"We have a mandate with the team and we started very well and that shows that there is something that we need to do, the team must be in the top eight, and I think it will be the first the the team plays in the top eight (MTN 8) next season" said coach Thoka during a press conference.
