Orlando Pirates defeated Soweto Rivals Kaizer Chiefs 2-0 on Sunday in their second leg of the MTN 8 semi -finals to book themselves into their eighth final since they last won a trophy in the PSL.
Amakhosi needed to score early to get back into the game following the 3-0 loss away at Orlando Stadium last weekend, but the Glamour Boys failed to test Richard Ofori during the first-half where they failed to register a shot at goal.

The Buccaneers then took control of the match in the second half with some enterprising attacking combinations between forwards Vincent Pule, Zakhele Lepasa and Deon Hotto. Bucs were rewarded with a goal by Fortune Makabonge at the half hour mark, leaving Amakhosi needing five goals to save the match.
Substitute Linda Mntambo then further dashed Chiefs cup hopes with an 80th minute goal to give the Mayfair side an unassailable 5-0 lead over two legs. There was still enough time for Kaizer Chiefs defender Erick Mathoho to get himself a late red card following a second bookable offence.

Orlando Pirates will now face Bloemfontein Celtic in the MTN 8 Final on 12 December. Venue and Kick-off time to be confirmed.
