Kaizer Chiefs have been dealt another blow early into their DStv campaign, after versatile fullback and midfielder Reeve Frosler underwent MRI which confirmed he will be sidelined for eight weeks.
The 22-year-old former Bidvest Wits star was injured and substituted in the 29th minute of the 2-0 MTN8 Cup semifinal loss against archrivals Orlando Pirates last Sunday.
Frosler was thereafter withdrawn from the Bafana Bafana squad to face Sao Tome and Principe in the upcoming Afcon qualifiers and has seemingly been replaced by Mamelodi Sundowns Thapelo Morena on the right-flank.
The Port Elizabeth-born Amakhosi star has featured in all four games this season for Kaizer Chiefs after having played 26 matches in all competition last season, providing four assists.

Amakhosi also announced via the club website that Samir Nurkovic is reported progressing well and the medical team have predicted his return to the training fields in two weeks.
Another injury casualty, striker Keletso Sifama (17), missed the last two games due to a minor ankle injury but has recovered, with the Glamour Boys medical team have given him all clear to resume full training.
