NEWS SCOOP: AGENT DENIES MNYAMANE, SOWETO GIANTS REPORTS

Friday, 9 July, 2021

The agent of Marumo Gallants star Thabo Mnyamane has refuted media reports of talks between the former SuperSport United winger and both the Soweto giants.

According to the set-piece specialists agent, Gary Cassisa, he has "not approached or been approached by any club yet for Thabo," he told Volley.co.za's Halakasha Team.

The 28-year-old had a great season with Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila last season, scoring four influencial goals and proving four assists which helped the club turn the corner after struggling in the early parts of the season.

The club which has changed ownership from Lawrence Mulaudzi to Abram Sello and it's name to Marumo Gallants, managed to claim their first trophy in their maiden season, winning the Nedbank Cup largely due to Zimbabwean goalkeeper Washington Arubi.

It will be interesting to see if the Limpopo club would be willing to part with one of their experienced star players, if an offer were to be made for the former University of Pretoria talisman.

Gallants have already released Mogakolodi Ngele, Thabo Rakhale, David Thopola, Nichulas Lukhubeni and former Bafana Bafana star Tokelo Rantie, as they look to consolidate their status in the PSL, albeit under a new name.
