Head coach David Notoane has announced the South African u23 team that will represent the country at the upcoming Olympics in Tokyo later this month.
The Mzansi team which has been drawn in Group A alongside France, Mexico and host Japan, will be looking to improve on a disappointing 2016 Olympics campaign where South Africa exited in the group stages after finishing bottom of their group.
Notably, only two of the three over-aged spots were used, with the selection of 29-year-old Bafana Bafana goalkeeper Ronwen Williams and Cape Town City utility man Abbubaker Mobara, 27, getting the nod.
