Al Ahly have announced that head coach Pitso Mosimane and his assistants have signed a two year contract extension with the African giants.
The former SuperSport United and Mamelodi Sundowns head coach had been surprisingly linked with an exit from the Egyptian club who have moved swiftly to quell those rumours.
The Red Devils cited that "what he has achieved for the club" as the main reason behind the contract extension.

Mosimane has already won six trophies with The Eagles including back to back Caf Champions League titles whilst also managing to secure consecutive Bronze medals at the Fifa Club World Cup tournament.
These news come directly after Al Ahly moved back to the top of the table after a 3-0 win over Pyramids.

"Jingles" Mosimane will now turn his attention to their crunch Caf Champions League clash against his former club Mamelodi Sundowns, who managed to beat Al Ahly for the first time in Egypt recently.
The Group A clash will take place at FNB Stadium this Saturday, kick-off is at 15h00.
