TS Galaxy striker Wayde Lekay put in an impressive performance in their opening DStv Premiership clash against Kaizer Chiefs, despite the match ending in a stalemate.
The 24-year-old came closest to scoring for The Rockets with a rasping shot from outside the penalty box that flew just over the crossbar, with Amakhosi goalkeeper Bruce Bvuma well beaten.
"I have been working on my shots and my technique from distance especially, before training sessions, and the coaches have noticed and have backed me to take those shots," admitted the striker.

Lekay is also impressed by the new strikers added to the TS Galaxy roster this season, in former Black Leopards star Mohammed Anas and former Chippa United centre-forward Augustine Chidi Kwem.
"With the new players coming in, it's been amazing, to see the qualities that they bring to the team, each one has their individual strength and we have been learning from each other," said Lekay
"Also (Mxolisi) Macuphu, brings a lot of experience, helps me on a daily basis, there is great camaraderie between all of us, there is a real brotherhood in the team, that we can work with, and that's the most encouraging thing.

There is a lot that I can learn from the players who have been experienced in this league, obviously getting my first season under the belt last season, there is still a lot I need to learn and these guys help me," added the Western Cape-born forward.
"We cannot wait for fans to come back to the stadium but until then, I hope everyone stays safe, stays healthy and all I can say is be prepared for an exciting season," concluded Lekay.
